Community

Like Nahar itself, our website is continually evolving.  In the future, we hope to use this page to host an online communal forum (e.g. sharing insights into the Torah, or responses to or suggestions for our minyanim), as well as a place to post information about important events in our lives (e.g., invitations to celebrations, or requests for prayers for healing or comfort at a time of loss).  For now, until our technological savvy catches up with our vision, please feel free to email us, or join our Facebook group and post your thoughts there.

This will also be a place to volunteer.

Currently, we especially need Torah and Haftarah readers.   We’ve experimenting with a compromise between the triennial and the full reading; we’re reading the first 2/3, in the hopes of developing enough Torah readers to build up to reading the whole parashah.  If you’re able to chant Torah or haftarah and would like to help out, please email us for information about signing up.

We also need help with some of our administrative tasks.  Again, if you’d like to help, send us an email.
